7.30-8.30pm on Thursdays
Bristol Masters trains every Tuesday and Thursday evenings during a shared lane swimming session, usually occupying one or two lanes. There are a range of swimming standards and ages (currently 35-75years) within the club. Training sets are provided to suit different abilities, usual distance completed 2000-2500m. Coaching is also available.
This club is suitable for any adult swimmers looking to join a club to train with.
BMSC members have been prominent in National, European and World Masters competitions.

This is Bristol University Pool. 25m boom usually in place. We welcome people of all ages and experience levels.
Swim fee : £6 per session for irregular use or
the new lower annual season ticket price of
£216 per year for external membership of the University Pool and unlimited swims there,
including Tuesday and Thursday evenings
Possible new members can try us out, paying £6 at the desk, unless already UBU external member
in which the swim will be at no additional cost

If you are already registered with another Club, as your ‘Longest Unbroken Membership’ club, then you do not need to pay the ASA Membership Fee through Bristol Masters (as long as it is being paid through the other Club). In this case, only the BMSC Membership fee is required. However, ALL members need to be registered with the ASA in either Category 1 or 2. Non-swimmers can join under ASA category 3 at £24.90 per year.
BMSC pays ASA Region and County fees from your subscription.
The ASA Categories are defined as follows (taken from the ASA Website www.britishswimming.org
Category 1 Criteria: Category 1 shall include all members of any age who are learning to swim or who are swimmers at any level, who do not compete in any discipline in open competition, other than those exempted under Law 312.1.2 and those competitions designated as “Low Level Competition”.
Category 2 Criteria: Category 2 shall include all members of any age who compete in any discipline in open competitions, other than those exempted under Law 312.1.2 and those competitions designated as “Low Level Competition”. (Please see ASA Website for a definition of Low Level Competition.)
